Cyberport current incubatee Zoom Offices has been named one of China’s “Top 10 Startups” chosen among 5,000 start-ups at the GMIC Beijing, a global event and competition that draws over 35,000 attendees and offers access to media and top investors.
The company offers a flexible office space-matching platform that helps local and foreign businesses lock in office space in Hong Kong, China and the rest of Asia. The office space offering is counted in workstation instead of area in square feet or meter which allows the first process automation amongst industry players.
In using the platform, users can review real-time office listings and negotiate directly with the space owner. They can also make online bookings for the commercial space.
By partnering with over 90 percent of flexible work spaces in Hong Kong and China, the platform can offer more than 120,000 workstations in the form of a fixed desk to a serviced office, a virtual office and a meeting room for anything from one to 100 staffs starting from a minimum of one hour up to three years. To date, over 5,000 organisations including Sony Mobile, Aeon, People’s Daily etc. have used the service.
The company’s latest plan for 2017 is launch of the AI Space Consultant on the Zoom Offices platform as well as on major chat apps Whatsapp, Messenger and Wechat. It provides personalised and instant answers to users on their mobiles in 24 x 7 x 365.
“The event gave us a great opportunity to interact with international technology leaders and successful start-up owners. Many investors showed interest in our business model. We are still following up on their queries,” said Jeff Yu, founder and CEO of Zoom Offices Limited. “Thanks to Cyberport’s Hong Kong and Shanghai representative offices helping connect us to all great events and boost our exposures not only in front of target users, but the whole start-up scene around the globe”, added by Mr. Jeff Yu.
