We are pleased to see -up ecosystem continues to cultivate outstanding new-economy companies and inject new impetus to the development of Hong Kong,” said Peter Yan, CEO of Cyberport.

Also staged in the same month was the annual International ICT Expo organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council where Cyberport start-ups again escalated their presence and exposure opportunities to thousands of worldwide expo-goers over the 4-day fair period.

Under the theme of “Smart City • Smart Living”, the ICT Expo spotlighted smart city-related technologies and start-ups to cater to the surging demand for related products and solutions. With more than 32,000 participants from 11 countries and regions in attendance, the exhibition offered an excellent platform for Cyberport start-ups to gain industry exposure and to seek cooperation and business opportunities.

Cyberport again actively participated in the Expo with a corporate pavilion featuring promising community start-ups and their innovative solutions. These included TranSwap (FinTech), Play More (Smart City), Ambit (Smart City), Wildfaces AI (AI), and Find Solution Ai (EduTech and AI).

Cyberport also hosted a panel session on how AI innovations enrich smart living with Viola Lam, Founder and CEO of Find Solution Ai, and Ivy Li, Executive Director of Wildfaces Technology.  Viola shared on how AI is applied in the latest update of the solution, while Ivy, whose start-up is the world’s only on-the-move, vision-based AI software system, talked about the latest update of their solution and how they use the Facial Recognition Technology to apply in Smart City.

The community also took part in the “Smart Launch” and start-up presentation sessions to introduce their business concepts and solutions to potential investors, buyers, and members of the media attending the Expo.
