Cyberport’s start-ups to showcase in e-sports and IT mega events
As part of the new key efforts to nurture e-sports, EduTech, and STEM start-ups, Cyberport will be hosting its branded pavilions at two of the city’s concurrent mega events in late August to help Cyberport start-ups gain exposure and generate business opportunities.
The Cyberport E-sports Pavilion (Booth C03) at the Hong Kong E-Sports & Music Festival on 24-26 August will feature eight start-ups including incubatees and local game developers Gamespace and Skytree. Gamespace will showcase its new VR zombie shooting game “Zombie Nest”, while Skytree will present “Trillionia”, its latest real-time, monopoly-like mobile card game that was just released in late July. Attendees of the Festival, organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, will enjoy exciting e-sports tournaments, music and entertainment programmes, and an experience zone full of latest games and hottest products.
Other start-ups that will be displaying their mobile games, AR/VR games, and other e-sports, EdTech, and STEM related products at the Pavilion are Action Star Creation, B&L Studio, IOT Solution, Team Bravo Laboratory, Twitchy Finger and WTM.
Cyberport will also participate at the Innovation Technology Zone (Booth R17-20 and S01) of the Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival (24-27 August) to showcase EdTech / STEM innovations from Cyberport community.
Among 16 start-ups being showcased, 42Lab, a Cyberport incubatee will feature its portable, modular biotech laboratory and teaching tool, Central Dogma Unit. This innovative product lets students combine different biotech and even chemistry equipment in a mini box to conduct experiments and to learn about biotechnology. The product also comes with a laboratory classroom management system to help teachers monitor the student’s performance in real-time.
Other start-ups showcased include BestTop Education Technology, Bull.B, FluentUp, Hidden Boss, iSTEM AI Lab, ixFinTech, MakeOmnia and Set Sail Venture, NFC Touch, HK Pick-up, oneCHARGE Solutions, MadGaze, MyiCellar, MEGA Automation and Asta Systems.
