When Games meet Investment - Gamification by StockViva to promote stock KOL
Cyberport incubatee StockViva (formerly StockFlash), a financial social platform that offers instant trading ideas and analysis from financial KOL (Key Opinion Leaders) to retail investors, has updated and gamified its mobile app to v2.0. StockViva has always appreciated that most people are too busy to monitor the stock market closely or lacking knowledge about stock markets. As such, the company offers instant expert analyses and trading ideas formulated by hundreds of fund managers, investment analysts, and financial KOLs to help users capture the latest trading opportunities. The updated app features brand new designs to improve user experiences; gamified features to get users involved in stock market trading and to analyse their trading performance; an all-new reward system for paying money to financial KOLs; and a system to rank and identify KOLs. StockViva recently entered into strategic partnerships with reputable partners in Mainland China, including Weibo and 10jqka.com, to pave the way for expansion in this big market. It also formed a partnership with Macau TV to produce a financial TV programme to help StockViva gain further attention in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. StockViva had previously obtained various FinTech awards, and got admitted to the Bang Camp Accelerator and the Plug and Play Accelerator. StockViva received funding from Mainland VC, Singapore VC and Nanjing Government. Samuel Wan, Chairman of StockViva, said: “Cyberport has been backing us up in many ways. They provided us with a lot of help in getting admitted to accelerators, such as Bang Camp and Plug and Play, media exposure, funding, and office space. Without Cyberport, we would not have come this far.” StockViva is looking at raising a new round of funding and planning further expansion into Mainland China.
