Cyberport Career Fair ushers in next generation of talent ![]()
University graduate and young professionals visited the Cyberport Career Fair in mid-March to learn about the latest employment opportunities in the world of digital technology.
There were over 600 full-time jobs and internships on offer with over 100 technology companies and start-ups that covered a range of fields from FinTech, EdTech, AI, Big Data to e-commerce, and much more. Recruiters, which included start-ups like Klook, GOGOVAN and Shopline; big corporations such as PCCW and the Bank of China as well as the health management industry and the travel technology sector, offered a wide range of job opportunities from UX/UI, data analysis, marketing, graphic design and accounting to engineering. Cyberport Incubatee, XpRelay, provided one-on-one review and CV consultation to guide participants towards enhancing their resumes and sharing tips on job search and interviewing. What’s more, workshops throughout the day gave insights into some of the technology industry’s most challenging questions; for instance, how emerging technologies are disrupting the market and whether corporations can benefit from technology innovation and digital transformation to heighten competitiveness. “For four years in a row, we have taken up the role as the connector and host of the Cyberport Career Fair with the aim of attracting new blood to the digital technology industry and to bridge talented candidates with the industry,” said Dr. Toa Charm, Chief Public Mission Officer at Cyberport.
