Incubatee EONIQ’s e-commerce platform offers bespoke watches
|
Cyberport incubatee EONIQ has become the first global fashion tech start-up to use its e-commerce platform to offer customers bespoke mechanical watches at a fashion watch price point. The online solution offers a selection of different watch components such as citizen movements, sapphire crystals and stainless steel cases, allowing users to create truly unique watches. Customers can also type or sign their name on the watch, taking personalisation on to the next level. EONIQ offers affordable luxury, mass-customised quality product, hand-crafted product to create the market and a strong brand with over 300,000 followers at social media platform. “With our professionally-designed templates and endless combination possibilities, a streamlined integration from sourcing (direct interfacing with factories) to brand building and marketing, EONIQ allows customers tell their own story with the creation of bespoke yet affordable time pieces,” explained Quinn Lai, founder and director of EONIQ. Meanwhile, the company business is accelerated in the “Frabica”, a HK-based tech/style accelerator by the Mills HK. EONIQ has developed a new watch dial manufacturing method that can produce a customised watch in less than 30 minutes in the store. This will be ready for launch in September to enable EONIQ exploring offline its business model. “The initial grant from Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF) allowed me to focus my resources on things I needed to experiment with. This resulted in a strong prototype which was a major milestone for our company. It definitely sped up our product launched to market,” added Mr. Lai. Award-winning EONIQ plans to explore crowd funding and offline outlets as well as partnerships development with more designers in the future. EONIQ graduated from CCMF in mid 2015 and admitted into Cyberport Incubation Programme in 2016 has received multiple awards, such as the Champion of Cocoon Pitch Night, HK media pitch champion, Breakthrough HK Top 20, Top 100 startups (consumer category).
